The paintings in this portfolio are landscapes from my studio work done from a sketch book made in 1969 and produced in a style taught to me by Jim Ryon using brayers and palette knives with little brush work.. The PAINTINGS’s are (clockwise from upper left: MOUNTAIN STREAM, near Estes Park, MOUNTAIN MEADOW, near Boulder, BLACK CANYON OF THE GUNNISON, IRRIGATION CANNAL AT PALISADES, this is conventional brushwork as is ARTIST POINT at the Colorado National Monument, BLUFFS ALONG THE NORTH PLATTE near Casper WY, SAILBOAT RACES ON WEATHERBY LAKE, MO, and finally BOULDER FLATIRONS back in the brayed/knife technique.
